Description

SAIC is seeking a Cyber Engineer located at either Huntsville, AL or Oahu, Hawaii to support the Pacific Multi-Domain Training and Experimentation Capability (PMTEC) Regional Joint Training Infrastructure (RJTI) Program for USINDOPACOM at the Pacific Warfighting Center (PWC) to design, implement, and maintain cybersecurity measures to protect training infrastructure from cyber threats.

NOTE: This position can be based out of Huntsville, Alabama or Oahu, Hawaii.

JOB DESCRIPTION:
  • Provide cyber engineering expertise in support of the RJTI program, ensuring robust and secure multi-domain training and experimentation environments.
  • Design, implement, and maintain cybersecurity measures to protect training infrastructure from cyber threats.
  • Develop and manage cybersecurity plans, policies, and procedures to ensure compliance with relevant regulations.
  • Perform risk assessments, vulnerability assessments, and penetration testing to identify and mitigate cyber risks.
  • Integrate cybersecurity solutions into existing IT and network systems to enhance overall security posture.
  • Monitor network and system security logs to detect and respond to potential security incidents.

Qualifications

REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
  • Bachelor's and five (5)+ years of related experience; additional four (4) years of experience accepted in lieu of degree.
  • Experience as a Cyber Engineer, preferably within a military or defense environment.
  • Experience with risk assessments, vulnerability assessments, and penetration testing.
  • Familiarity with relevant cybersecurity frameworks and compliance standards (e.g., NIST, DoD RMF).
  • Strong understanding of cybersecurity principles, practices, and technologies.
  • Strong knowledge of IT systems and network security.
  • Must be able to obtain a current Passport and be willing to travel up to 25%.

REQUIRED CLEARANCE:
  • Must have an Active Secret clearance with the ability to obtain a Top Secret/SCI clearance.
