Description

SAIC is seeking an Electrical Engineer to join in and support our team in Panama City Beach, Florida.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

You will be working in a dynamic environment at our Holley Engineering and Integration Center. You will be supporting multiple Navy projects of various scales. You will hone your teamwork skills and gain engineering experience rapidly.

As an engineering team member, you will:
  • Develop static and dynamic design and analysis of electrical systems, equipment and packages.
  • Capture design requirements using MBSE principles.
  • Conduct feasibility studies and testing on new and modified designs.
  • Direct support personnel in the preparation of detailed design, design testing and prototype fabrication.
  • Provide design information to drafting for technical documentation team
  • Provide direct support to the program manager on technical issues.
  • Prepare variance documentation as required to address TDP or manufacturing issues.
  • Support vendor and sub-contractor variance and or ECP efforts to gain government approval.
  • Maintain dialog with program management and integration team staff to resolve technical issues.
  • Support the generation of reports for engineering studies and investigations relating to identified technical issues impacting the program.
  • Review and approve technical deliverables to the government for accuracy, clarity, and recommended acceptance.
  • Support the review of drawings and specifications in support of procurement actions to ensure vendors are properly qualified, responsive, understand the nuances of the product, and have mitigated fabrication risk.

Qualifications

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE AND CLEARANCE:
  • Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, computer engineering, or related engineering discipline and (0) years of work experience.
  • Interim Secret Clearance required to start. SAIC will sponsor qualified candidates for a security clearance.
  • Must have working knowledge solid modeling and 2d drafting.
  • Must be highly motivated and have excellent problem-solving skills.
  • Must demonstrate strong organizational skills and the ability to work on multiple tasks concurrently with changing deadlines and priorities.

DESIRED EXPERIENCE:
  • Microsoft Office experience
  • SolidWorks experience
  • Altium or other ECAD experience desired
  • Design experience
