Senior Application Manager

The Senior Application Manager will have developed advanced technical abilities gained through broad exposure to all aspects of application development, including analysis, design, programming, implementation, and maintenance. The Development team is responsible for the operations design and maintenance of all mission-critical applications and related software-based services. This position manages the part of the development team charged with all aspects of application development associated with the corporate information systems. This includes company performance reporting and business intelligence tools and the development of the associated data sources.

Required Skills:

• Bachelor’s or Masters of Science Degree in Computer Science or relevant technical degree and job/work experience in the IT Insurance industry.
• 7-10 years combined experience working directly with and/or managing information system application development at a corporate level, with server and internet-based expertise
• 5-7 years supervisory experience in managing team of 6 or more working with analysis, design, development, implementation, and maintenance aspects of application development.
• Strong development experience in C# and dotnet framework
• Mastery of object-oriented programming, programming algorithms and methodologies.
• Strong knowledge of technology landscape and new and emerging technologies.
• Strong collaborating skills, and an ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
• Comfortable in a fast-paced environment with frequent deadlines; high energy, self-motivated and proactive
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to exercise judgment
• Prior working knowledge of any P&C Claims/Billing systems
