Nashville, TN (Day1 Onsite)
The Data Modeler will play a critical role in bridging the gap between business needs and technical solutions. You will work closely with Data Product Owners to understand product requirements, ensure alignment with business goals, and design solutions that meet operational and analytical needs.
This position requires a deep understanding of the architecture of business data source systems, their structures, communication protocols, and interfaces. The ideal candidate will demonstrate a mastery of data analysis, logical data modeling, and the ability to identify opportunities for data reuse and transformation. You will design data architectures that address gaps, optimize performance, and enforce enterprise standards in cybersecurity, governance, and compliance.
Skills Required
- Extensive experience in designing data models for large-scale systems
- Expertise in Google Cloud Platform architecture and BigQuery
- Expertise in SQL optimization and data modeling techniques
- Ability to write, tune, and interpret SQL queries.
- Strong experience with version control systems
- Strong ability to present complex technical concepts to leadership
- Extensive experience in architecture, construction, and implementation of data-intensive solutions
- Strong understanding of metadata management and data cataloging
- Adeptness to learn new assignments, technologies and applications quickly and manage multiple assignments simultaneously
- Ability to troubleshoot, maintain, reverse engineer and optimize existing ETL pipelines.
- Hands-on experience with Python, Dataflow and Cloud Composer
- Ability to analyze and interpret complex data, and offer solutions to complex clinical problems.
- Ability to work independently on assigned tasks.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills including the ability to explain complex technical issues in a way that non-technical people may understand.
- Excellent problem-solving and critical thinking skills.
- Knowledge of IT governance and operations.
