Job Details

PURPOSE: The Enterprise Applications Administrator performs professional-level work associated with the provision and support of the information needs of all City departments. This includes the promotion of the effective utilization of hardware and software programs, including the configuration of hardware and software. The incumbent sets-up new microcomputers, terminals, and printers, and creates custom reports, queries, and data processing programs for departments, as needed.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Plans, tests, installs, configures, customizes, and maintains applications including Munis ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning), Laserfiche document management system and others.
  • Assists in analyzing and configuring system and application security, workflow rules, data integrity and backups. Ensures applications run efficiently and properly.
  • Works closely with the City s Network Administrators regarding the installation and configuration of devices deployed on the City s network.
  • Provides support and problem resolution to users regarding software, hardware, and other systems.
  • Develops, maintains, and manages test plans used for application upgrades. Creates and maintains interfaces between applications.
  • Creates custom reports and extracts data from applications using vendor supplied tools and SQL queries.
  • Creates scripts to automate tasks and other functions.
  • Assists in the selection of hardware, software, and services.
  • Communicates with outside agencies regarding the installation and configuration of hardware and software systems.
  • Provides support for all applications in the City including those applications they may not be directly responsible for.
  • Plans, tests, installs, configures, customizes, and maintains the document management system including development of workflow, process routines and automations.
  • Works with Public Safety and Court personnel to develop an understanding of legal and technical requirements required for Public Safety and Court systems. Plans, tests, installs, configures, customizes, and maintains public safety programs, systems and hardware.
  • Coordinates projects with the Police Department technical service position.
  • Assists in the design and maintenance of the City website and social media platforms including archival of social media posts.
  • Assists with the implementation and enforcement of security related policies and in the creation of a security aware culture.
  • Analyzes, corrects errors, and verifies user data on an ongoing basis.
  • Provides information technology support on a 24 x 7 hours per day, seven days per week basis. Participates in on-call rotation support.
  • Maintains confidentiality of user data.
  • Functions as a liaison between City users and software providers.
  • Provides assistance with budget development and project cost estimates.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

REQUIREMENTS:

  1. Bachelor s degree in computer science, or related field.
  2. Minimum of 5 years experience in systems analysis and programming.
  3. Database administration and programming skills including the creation of SQL programming, views, tables, fields and reporting, preferred.
  4. Experience in program and script creation including Python and JavaScript.
  5. Experience in the Windows and network operating systems and applications.
  6. Experience in hardware and software support and problem resolution.
  7. Experience using report writing tools including SSRS and Crystal Reports.
  8. Information technology project management experience.

Equivalent combinations of training and experience will be considered.

2024 SALARY RANGE: Pay Range: 5-$38.96-$50.65 per hour with excellent benefits. ($81,035.24-$105,345.76 annually).
