Job Description:

Essential skills include being proactive and possessing strong communication and people skills. You will spend the majority of your day handling help desk calls which requires troubleshooting hardware and software problems in addition to testing and deploying new applications and hardware in a team environment; deploying and redeploying workstations; and conducting training for users on the use of software and computer systems.

Supporting approx 500 end users to resolve computer and network related issues. Most issues are resolved via phone and messaging tools however on occasion as needed we need to go desk-side to help with the actual equipment.

Skills:

  • Ability to work with users with a broad skill level range basic users to power users.
  • Good people skills are critical to the success of this position.
  • Good organizations skills with ability to multi-task.

Software & Hardware

  • Have a good working knowledge of PC-based hardware and software in order to repair and maintain computers.
  • Experience supporting or strong knowledge of Microsoft operating systems (Win10)
  • Experience supporting or good knowledge of network protocols (TCP/IP, LAN, and WAN).
  • Experience supporting or strong knowledge of Microsoft O365 (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).
  • Strong troubleshooting skills and adaptable learning skills relating to software and/or hardware issues (hard drives, power supplies, cables, switches, and connectivity issues).
  • Experience working with IOS devices (iPhones and iPads).
  • Adaptable learning and implementation of office applications and hardware in a solo or team environment.
  • A fundamental knowledge of Novell eDirectory, MS Active Directory, SCCM, and/or Adobe products is a plus.

Qualification:

  • Bachelor's degree in relevant field desired but not mandatory.
