Position Summary
Senior-level network engineer responsible for complex network design, implementation, and optimization. Lead technical initiatives and provide expert guidance on enterprise network solutions.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Network Design: Design complex enterprise network solutions
  • Implementation Leadership: Lead network implementation projects
  • Protocol Optimization: Optimize network protocols and performance
  • Troubleshooting: Resolve complex network issues and performance problems
  • Project Management: Lead network-related projects from concept to completion
  • Standards Development: Establish network engineering standards and procedures
  • Team Leadership: Provide technical guidance to junior engineers
Required Qualifications
Education
  • Minimum: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Network Engineering, or related field
  • Preferred: Master's degree in technical discipline
Certifications (Required)
  • Current CISCO Certified Network Professional (CCNP) OR- Current
  • Current CISCO Certified Internetwork Expert (CCIE)- Current
  • Certifications must be current and maintained throughout contract performance
Experience Requirements
  • Minimum: 5-10 years of hands-on experience in network engineering, design, and implementation
  • Enterprise Experience: Experience with enterprise-level networks including:
    • Data centers
    • Cloud infrastructure
    • Large-scale WAN/LAN setups
  • Protocol Expertise: Proven experience managing and troubleshooting:
    • TCP/IP
    • OSPF
    • BGP
    • MPLS
  • Project Leadership: Experience leading network-related projects, including design, upgrades, and troubleshooting
Strongly Desired Technical Skills
  • Infrastructure Components: Knowledge of routers, switches, firewalls, load balancers, wireless networks
  • Automation: Proficiency in scripting and automation tools
  • Analysis Tools: Expertise in network analysis tools
  • Automation Platforms: Familiarity with automation tools and platforms
Preferred Qualifications
  • Security clearance (though not required for this contract)
  • Government contracting experience
  • Cloud networking experience
  • SDN/NFV experience
