Description/Purpose of the Role
Reporting to the Director, IT/OT Integrations & Global Network Communications, this position will provide operational support and contribute to the ongoing administration of the organization's global IT and OT network infrastructure. This includes LAN, WAN (SD-WAN), Wi-Fi, data center switching, and virtual networking across hybrid environments. The role also supports specialized wireless technologies for industrial and remote sites.
This is an opportunity for a developing professional to gain broad exposure to enterprise and industrial networking while working closely with sr engineers and cross-functional teams.
Key Areas of Responsibility & Duties
1) Network Monitoring, Visibility & Analytics
Drive improvement and expansion of network monitoring using the full SolarWinds platform stack, including:
o Network Performance Monitor (NPM) for real-time visibility,
o Network Configuration Manager (NCM) for compliance and change tracking,
o NetFlow Traffic Analyzer (NTA) for traffic diagnostics,
o Network Topology Mapper (NTM) for accurate documentation.
Configure alerting thresholds, views, reports, and dashboards tailored to operational and business needs.
Assist in correlating monitoring data to operational incidents to support root cause analysis and proactive remediation.
2) Network Operations & Support
Provide Tier 1-2 support for network infrastructure including LAN, Wi-Fi, and SD-WAN.
Troubleshoot network incidents across Cisco environments and escalate as needed.
Perform configuration tasks on switches, routers, and wireless controllers under guidance.
3) Collaboration & Documentation
Work closely with sr analysts and engineers to document configurations, network topologies, and standards.
Participate in troubleshooting efforts across IT, OT, and Cybersecurity teams.
Contribute to the creation of knowledge base articles and standard operating procedures.
4) Cybersecurity, OT Support & Compliance
Help enforce secure networking practices across segmented environments.
Support OT visibility and monitoring initiatives, including tools such as Dragos.
Operate within ITIL-based processes for change, incident, and problem management. Collaborate with cybersecurity teams during risk assessments and incident response exercises.
Qualifications & Skill Requirements/Technical Requirements
1-4 years of hands-on experience in network support or infrastructure operations.
Practical experience configuring and using SolarWinds tools, especially NPM and NCM (NTA/NTM a strong plus).
Familiarity with enterprise networking (Cisco Catalyst/Nexus), routing protocols (OSPF, BGP), VLANs, VPNs, and ACLs.
Exposure to virtual networking in platforms such as Azure, VMware, and Nutanix AHV.
Basic scripting or automation knowledge (PowerShell, Python) is beneficial.
Foundational certifications such as CCNA or progressing toward CCNP.
Working knowledge of ITIL processes (incident, change, configuration management).
Behavioral & Soft Skills
Strong decision-making and analytical skills under pressure.
Exceptional communication skills, able to interface with both IT and OT stakeholders.
Highly adaptable to evolving priorities in a dynamic, operationally sensitive environment.
Willingness to work outside regular hours when required.
Fluent in English; proficiency in Spanish, Portuguese, or French is a plus.
Preferred Experience
Experience enhancing enterprise-scale network monitoring tools or building observability dashboards.
Exposure to mine wireless networking, particularly Rajant Kinetic Mesh.
Familiarity with OT security and asset management tools, especially Dragos.
Back ground in industrial, energy, or mining operations with hybrid IT/OT infrastructures.
Experience in global or multi-site industrial environments.

Description/Objectif du poste
Relevant du Directeur, Intgrations IT/OT et Communications Rseaux Mondiaux, ce poste assurera le soutien oprationnel et contribuera l'administration courante de l'infrastructure rseau IT et OT mondiale de l'organisation. Cela comprend les rseaux LAN, WAN (SD-WAN), Wi-Fi, la commutation des centres de donnes et les rseaux virtuels dans les environnements hybrides. Ce poste prend galement en charge les technologies sans fil spcialises pour les sites industriels et distants.
Ce poste offre un professionnel en dveloppement une opportunit d'acqurir une solide exprience des rseaux d'entreprise et industriels tout en travaillant en troite collaboration avec des ingnieurs sr et des quipes transverses.
Principaux domaines de responsabilit et fonctions
1) Surveillance, visibilit et analyse du rseau
Piloter l'amlioration et le dveloppement de la surveillance du rseau grce l'ensemble de la plateforme SolarWinds, notamment :
o Network Performance Monitor (NPM) pour une visibilit en temps rel ;
o Network Configuration Manager (NCM) pour la conformit et le suivi des modifications ;
o NetFlow Traffic Analyzer (NTA) pour le diagnostic du trafic ;
o Network Topology Mapper (NTM) pour une documentation prcise.
Configurer des seuils d'alerte, des vues, des rapports et des tableaux de bord adapts aux besoins oprationnels et mtier.
Contribuer la corrlation des donnes de surveillance avec les incidents oprationnels afin de faciliter l'analyse des causes profondes et la rsolution proactive des problmes.
2) Exploitation et support rseau
Fournir un support de niveau 1 et 2 pour l'infrastructure rseau, notamment LAN, Wi-Fi et SD-WAN.
Dpanner les incidents rseau dans les environnements Cisco et les faire remonter si ncessaire.
Excuter les tches de configuration des commutateurs, routeurs et contrleurs sans fil sous supervision.
3) Collaboration et documentation
Travailler en troite collaboration avec les analystes et ingnieurs sr pour documenter les configurations, les topologies rseau et les normes.
Participer aux efforts de dpannage des quipes IT, OT et cyberscurit.
Contribuer la cration d'articles de la base de connaissances et de procdures oprationnelles normalises.
4) Cyberscurit, support OT et conformit
Contribuer la mise en ?uvre de pratiques rseau scurises dans des environnements segments
Soutenir les initiatives de visibilit et de surveillance OT, notamment avec des outils tels que Dragos.
Travailler dans le cadre de processus ITIL pour la gestion des changements, des incidents et des problmes. Collaborer avec les quipes de cyberscurit lors des valuations des risques et des exercices de rponse aux incidents.
Qualifications et comptences requises/Exigences techniques
1 4 ans d'exprience pratique en support rseau ou en exploitation d'infrastructure.
