Summary

You will serve as a Engineering Technician in the PWO/DEPUTY PW OFFICER NORFOLK of NAVFAC ENGINEERING CMD MID-ATLANTIC.

Duties

Help

• You will utilize construction project scheduling knowledge and expertise to track the progress of assigned construction projects.
• You will coordinate with project designers and provide solutions to complex and diverse technical
  
  problems that impact project performance.
• You will draw conclusions, prepare reports and make recommendations as necessary.
• You will provide advice and solutions to assist in the resolution of technical matters requiring extensive knowledge of multiple construction trades.

• You will be required to wear personal protective equipment such as helmets, gloves, coveralls, glasses, goggles, respirators and safety shoes continuously for the duration of the work shift.
• May be designated as Essential personnel and required to report for duty status to provide during and/or after special emergency situations, but not limited to, destructive weather, disasters or periods of an increased security threat.
• You may at any time be assigned to a similar position at any site or workstation within the commuting area as a condition of employment.
• You will be required to successfully complete a pre-appointment physical examination.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1. Tracking the progress of assigned construction projects and reviewing project scheduling problems or concerns to provides solutions 2. Making on-site visits to determine facility/site condition and developing engineering layout recommendations. 3. Preparing or reviewing technical engineering specifications and statements of work covering engineering designs or changes.
