Title: QA Engineer

Location: Coppell, TX

Duration: 12 Months Contract

 

Job Description:

Quality Assurance Engineer will participate in test planning to determine which test cases to automate and which ones to execute for each project/release. They will manage, day to day, the automation repository, and the CI environment ensuring the test scripts run without error in the target environment with support and direction from QA Management

 

Must Have Experience and Capability -

  • 10+ years of experience in Automation Testing.
  • Experience/knowledge of the Mortgage Servicing and/or prior banking experience a plus
  • Strong knowledge of system testing best practices and methodologies
  • Experience building an automation program is preferred
  • Experience with working on applications built in a Service Oriented Architecture (SOA)
  • Understanding of SQL DB and ability to run SQL queries
  • Experience with CI/CD technologies, such as JIRA, Confluence, Crucible, BitBucket (or other Git server), and Jenkins

 

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Development and maintenance of automation framework(s) to support API and UI based testing
  • Development of Test Plans
  • Participate in-Sprint automation of test cases
  • For each release, determine automation candidates based on developed selection criteria
  • Conversion of requirements, user stories, design documents, and/or existing manual test cases into a set of automated scripts, ensuring compliance with development methodology and framework
  • Development and maintenance of Sanity, Smoke, System, E2E and Regression Test types
  • Routine maintenance of existing test scripts (i.e. anticipate changes and update scripts accordingly)
  • Regular collection of metrics to understand and track the time and cost savings
  • Daily progress reports and escalates any testing or automation issues
