Job Details
- 10+ years of dedicated DB2 DBA ZSystem Programming experience In multiple SysPlexes data-sharing environments
- SME-level knowledge of the installation/administration/support process starting with SMP/E through the removal of software components.
- Experience in working with very large systems processing 75000 MIPS or larger environments
- Working with Db2 Logging and System Recovery/Disaster Recovery including GDPS
- Fully proficient in the use of enterprise z System monitoring tools Omegamon, Mainview ,TMON, MXG ,Splunk
- Installing DB2 Subsystem into the LPAR IPLs and Working with DB2 Storage Groups
- Demonstrated understanding of z/OS dataset configurations and the ability to properly allocate various dataset configurations
- Experience working with all types of z/OS file types and file systems Including PDS/PDSE and VSAM
- Has responsibility and capability to work multi-platforms including z/OS, LINUX, and Windows
- Experience with zFS including allocation and related Unix commands to manage the space
- Downloading System Software from the vendor, installing Db2 and Db2 Administration Tools throughout the Tech, Test/Dev, and Prod environments including following all Change procedures, ensuring Application Developer testing, and the overall post-implementation validation steps
- Demonstrated knowledge and fully proficient in the use of TSO and ISPF
- Large-scale z System Db2 environment experience in:
- Multiple Parallel SysPlex configuration
- DB2Plex
- CICSPlex
- Multiple physical z Systems machines
- Multiple Production LPAR environment
- General Processors / zIIP Processors
