Data Analyst - Guidewire
Summary
We are seeking a Guidewire Data Analyst to support data-driven decision-making and analytics initiatives within our P&C insurance environment. This role focuses on analyzing and interpreting data from Guidewire applications, preparing reports, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure high data quality and meaningful business insights. The ideal candidate has strong SQL skills, deep experience with Guidewire data models, and a background in the insurance domain.
Responsibilities

• Analyze and interpret complex datasets to identify trends and support business objectives.
• Work with Guidewire data models (PolicyCenter, BillingCenter, ClaimCenter) to map and integrate data across systems.
• Develop and optimize SQL queries for extracting, transforming, and loading data.
• Partner with teams across Product, Sales, and Data Warehouse to define and meet data needs.
• Ensure data accuracy and integrity by establishing validation, cleaning, and handling standards.
• Communicate analytical findings and insights clearly to technical and non-technical audiences.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience working with Guidewire data models (PolicyCenter, BillingCenter, ClaimCenter).
• Strong proficiency in SQL for data extraction and transformation.
• Experience with data warehousing concepts and data profiling.
• In-depth knowledge of P&C insurance, particularly commercial lines.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

Preferred

• Experience with BI tools such as Tableau or Power BI.
• Familiarity with cloud data platforms (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform).
• Understanding of machine learning concepts or NLP.
• Exposure to DBT (Data Build Tool).
