SAP FICO Lead

About the Role

We re seeking an experienced SAP FICO Lead to serve as the client-side design authority for a fast-moving electric vehicle manufacturer. You ll own end-to-end S/4HANA Finance & Controlling design, partnering closely with the implementation team to ensure high-quality delivery, system stability, and compliance across financial operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead S/4 FI/CO design across GL, AP/AR, Asset Accounting, Banking/Treasury, and CO (COPA, Product Costing, Material Ledger) with seamless SD/MM/PP integration.
• Drive revenue recognition design (SD FI, including RAR where applicable), inventory valuation, intercompany flows, and month/quarter close processes.
• Act as design authority review implementation partner deliverables, manage defect triage, and lead cutover and hypercare to ensure operational continuity.
• Establish SOX-aligned controls and auditability; maintain O2C R2R traceability with accurate account determination across pricing, discounts, and taxes.
• Oversee tax validation and integration with ONESOURCE, ensuring alignment of condition records and billing configuration with finance policies.
• Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation BPMN process maps, fit/gap analyses, WRICEF traceability, test scenarios, and sign-off packs.
• Collaborate with Manufacturing, Service, and Supply Chain teams to design finance processes that work seamlessly across business operations.
• Communicate complex financial designs in simple, actionable terms; educate stakeholders and manage expectations effectively.
• Ensure data integrity for finance objects (costing, ML, COPA characteristics); guide conversion strategy and reconciliation during cutover.
• Track risks, dependencies, and readiness across streams, maintaining clear decision and exception logs.

Required Profile

• 15+ years of SAP Finance experience with multiple S/4HANA implementations.
• Strong background in manufacturing and service parts environments.
• Hands-on expertise in FI/CO, RAR, Product Costing, Material Ledger, and SD/MM/PP integration.
• Proven success in implementing SOX-compliant controls and establishing audit-ready processes.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to translate technical concepts for business leaders.
