Position: Agile Coach or RTE

Location: Liberty, NC - Once a week now

Duration: 6 Months

Description:

  • Agile Coach/RTE with dynamic communication to join the Delivery Excellence team that handles organizational, Agile, and intake requests.
  • Intake requests are from groups in the organization seeking to transform into a Scrum Framework way of working.
  • Coaches should have experience coaching at the enterprise level down to the team level.
  • Training and workshop facilitation experience is ideal. We are looking for an efficient Agile Coach who can help our organization in the Agile transition.
  • A team worker with exceptional supervising skills will be an ideal match for the position.
  • You will be responsible for suggesting organizations' policies to support Agile ways of working.
  • Scrum and Kanban are the most popular Agile methodologies; we expect our Agile coach to train managers in their applications and educate them on dealing with any cultural shifts the project may cause.
  • Mindset and approach that wins: clients and a people-first approach. Need to read up on the client before their interview.
  • Being able to have an Agile mindset, look to understand a project issue or request, and present the best approach moving forward. Scrum and Kanban are the methods most used to enhance their client framework.
  • Can t have people who are not adaptable and who must use only one method. Agile mindset is key.
  • I need strong communicators, sharp resources that can lead. Not by title but by the way they approach situations.
  • Timid doesn t win.
  • Kanban and Scrum required.
  • If they have SAFe experience on their resume, they need to be able to speak to that experience if asked.
  • Jira experience required for tracking Agile mindset and can't be inflexible to the methods used for project completion. Jira Align would be great!
  • They are SAFe-like, not a full SAFe shop. If they are pushing SAFe only, they will not be a good fit

Responsibilities:

  • This is not a team-level coaching role. This role is joining the Agile Center of Excellence at TMNA and will help with program-level concepts and coaching.
  • Resource will need to have the ability and proven experience in resume, experience training organizations/teams. (i.e., Workshops, Classroom facilitation, etc.)
  • Mentoring an Agile organization to enable the transition to Agile
  • Formulating governing policies given the organization's principles to support Agile-based approaches
  • Identify relevant metrics and define the measurement system
  • Apply system thinking to uncover bottlenecks
  • Improve engagement between teams and stakeholders
  • Set up regular audits for measuring process readiness and adherence
  • Identify project risks
  • Coach Scrum Masters and Product Owners
  • Mentor Product Owners in daily decisions to keep the project in motion
  • Empower managers to partner with business stakeholders and make more strategic decisions
  • Cultivate an Agile mindset so that every team member can approach problems
  • Instruct teams on the basics of Agile tools, like Scrum and Kanban Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent in Communications, Operations, Business, or Technology
  • Minimum of 5+years related work experience
  • Minimum 8+ years of combined business or technology experience within an Agile environment
  • Expertise in Scrum and Kanban
  • Certifications are a plus and viewed in high regard, but not required.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Team player who understands people's concerns. Skills: SCRUM
