About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and analytical Senior Data Associate for Global Sales Operations to join our Delivery Commercial Operations (DCO) team. This role is part of the Global Insights, Analytics & Compliance function and plays a critical part in delivering data-driven insights that power decisions across Uber's global Delivery business.

As a Senior Data Associate, you will partner with cross-functional teams and regional stakeholders to produce analyses and tools that scale across regions and verticals. You will work across Uber's marketplace, Direct, Retail, Ads, and Digital Sales Center businesses to support commercial effectiveness and strategic initiatives.

What You'll Do

- Analyze commercial performance trends across global Delivery verticals to generate actionable insights that influence sales strategy, operations, and planning.
- Design and build scalable reporting solutions (dashboards, datasets) to empower decision-making across regional DCO teams.
- Collaborate with Data Governance and Edge Analytics counterparts to ensure consistency and accuracy in reporting and metric definitions.
- Translate ambiguous business questions into well-defined data problems and deliver insights through clean, compelling data narratives.
- Support quarterly and annual planning efforts with data inputs, forecasting trends, and key performance analytics.
- Participate in global analytics projects including quota setting insights, seller productivity modeling, and funnel optimization.
- Proactively identify data quality issues or opportunities for improvement in analytics tooling and reporting.
- Communicate findings to stakeholders at various levels, adjusting content and complexity to suit the audience.

Basic Qualifications

- 4 years of experience in data analytics, business intelligence, or similar analytical role
- Proficiency in SQL and ETL
- Intermediate knowledge of scripting language (e.g., Python or R).
- Experience working with large datasets, data modeling, and creating dashboards (e.g., Tableau, Looker, etc.)
- Bachelor's Degree

Preferred Qualifications

- Experience supporting sales, operations, or GTM analytics in a commercial environment.
- Familiarity with Uber's data stack and tools, or previous experience in a marketplace or B2B tech environment.
- Knowledge of statistics or predictive modeling techniques is a plus.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, constantly evolving, and highly collaborative environment.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to translate complex data into clear and actionable business insights.
- Strong problem-solving skills and business acumen; able to work independently on a range of challenges.
- Demonstrated ability to collaborate cross-functionally and manage stakeholder needs across a matrixed org.
- A passion for Uber's mission and a drive to make data useful and impactful.

For Chicago, IL-based roles: The base salary range for this role is USD$122,000 per year - USD$135,500 per year.
