As a Scrum Master, you will play a pivotal role in facilitating and optimizing our Agile development processes. The ideal candidate will have 8 years of hands-on experience in Agile methodologies, particularly Scrum, and a proven track record of successfully guiding teams to deliver high-quality software products.
Responsibilities
Scrum Facilitation: Lead and facilitate Agile/Scrum ceremonies, including Sprint Planning, Daily Stand-ups, Sprint Review, and Sprint Retrospective.
Team Collaboration: Foster a collaborative and self-organizing team environment. Remove impediments and promote continuous improvement.
Product Owner Collaboration: Work closely with the Product Owner to ensure a well-defined and prioritized backlog. Assist in refining user stories and maintaining a healthy backlog.
Metrics and Reporting: Track and communicate team progress using relevant Agile metrics. Provide visibility into team velocity, sprint/release progress, and other key performance indicators.
Continuous Improvement: Identify areas for improvement and implement changes to enhance team productivity. Encourage a culture of continuous improvement.
Conflict Resolution: Address and resolve conflicts within the team. Act as a buffer between the team and external distractions, ensuring a focused and productive work environment.
Stakeholder Communication: Facilitate communication between the development team and stakeholders. Ensure transparency and understanding of project goals and progress.
Risk Management: Identify and mitigate risks that could impede the team's ability to achieve its goals. Proactively address potential issues.
Qualifications
Experience: 6-8 years of experience as a Scrum Master in Agile development environments.
Certification: Scrum Master certification (CSM, PSM I, or equivalent) is highly desirable.
Agile Knowledge: Strong understanding of Agile principles and methodologies, particularly Scrum. Familiarity with other Agile frameworks is a plus.
Leadership Skills: Proven leadership skills with the ability to lead and motivate cross-functional teams.
Communication: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to communicate effectively with team members, stakeholders, and leadership.
Problem-Solving: Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking skills. Ability to adapt to changing priorities and navigate complex challenges.
Technical Background: A basic understanding of software development processes and technology is a plus.
Continuous Learning: Demonstrated commitment to continuous learning and improvement.
Collaboration: Demonstrated working effectively with geographically distributed teams
