Location: Fully Remote (Candidates should ideally be located in or willing to come onsite in the DMV for potential future hybrid schedules)
Job Type: 6-month contract-to-hire
About the Role:
We are seeking a skilled SharePoint / Web Developer to join our team in support of a federal government project. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing, modifying, and maintaining Office 365 SharePoint Online and Microsoft Power Platform solutions. This role involves participating in the testing process through test review and analysis, test witnessing, and certification of software.

About the Role:
We are seeking a skilled SharePoint / Web Developer to join our team in support of a federal government project. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing, modifying, and maintaining Office 365 SharePoint Online and Microsoft Power Platform solutions. This role involves participating in the testing process through test review and analysis, test witnessing, and certification of software.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop portal solutions by studying requirements and information needs, conferring with stakeholders and IT Management, and studying work processes to develop workflows and data usage.
- Test, debug, deploy, and maintain solutions.
- Migrate from SharePoint Classic to Modern, leveraging Power Automate, Power Platform Canvas Apps, and SharePoint Framework.
- Design responsive Power Apps for mobile and larger screen formats.
- Design, develop, and maintain key components of the software suite using Office 365 SharePoint tools.
- Manage site content and capabilities, providing daily maintenance of sites and applications.
- Develop Business Intelligence dashboards using Power BI.
- Document and demonstrate solutions using flowcharts, layouts, diagrams, charts, code comments, and clear code.
- Participate in product design reviews by providing creative and practical ideas and solutions in a teamwork environment.
- Build proof of concept examples or graphical simulation software.
- Maintain product test software and demos for training purposes.
Required Qualifications:
- DHS EOD Eligible (Active EOD preferred)
- BS or equivalent and 8 years of applicable experience, including a minimum of 3 years developing SharePoint solutions
- Hands-on experience in front-end web development using Office 365 Patterns and Practices project, Microsoft Office UI Fabric / Fluent UI React Components
- Experience with the analysis, design, hands-on development, and delivery of web-based applications
- Proficiency in jQuery, Client Object Model, and Service-Oriented Architecture
- Experience with SharePoint's application services framework, including implementation, configuration, and usage of Search, Managed Metadata, and User Profile Services
Preferred Qualifications:
- Proficient in client-side development using TypeScript, Node.js, Web Services, SOAP, RestFul Services, Ajax, jQuery, JSON, HTML, HTML5, and CSS with Responsive Design
- Experience in client-side development of SharePoint Framework custom extensions and webparts
- Experience with web services and REST
- Experience working with relational data model-based applications
- Experience with SharePoint Designer, InfoPath, Web Parts, and workflow creation and XML
Experience and Education Requirements:
- BA/BS or equivalent and a minimum of 10 years of applicable experience or equivalent
