We are looking for an experienced Category Manager IV to lead strategic sourcing efforts in the technology procurement space. This role involves managing supplier relationships, driving contract negotiations, and working closely with business stakeholders and executive teams to ensure alignment with sourcing goals.
Responsibilities:
  • Lead communications and collaboration with business stakeholders.
  • Build and manage vendor relationships to ensure performance and compliance.
  • Develop and execute short- and long-term category management strategies.
  • Handle contract negotiations and supplier issue resolution.
  • Identify sourcing opportunities and run RFPs/RFQs in the technology domain.
  • Track market trends and benchmark industry best practices.
  • Collaborate on SaaS, cloud, and AI-related procurement initiatives.

Must-Have Skills:
  • 5+ years of category management or procurement experience (preferably in technology).
  • Strong skills in negotiation, contract management, and supplier performance.
  • Familiarity with SaaS, cloud services, and AI technologies.
  • Ability to manage end-to-end sourcing strategies.
  • Experience engaging with executive leadership teams (ELTs).

Nice-to-Have Skills:
  • Experience with value-added resellers (VARs).
  • Knowledge of AI governance, cost structures, and risk mitigation.
  • Ability to identify value leakage and draft measurable SLAs.

Education:
  • Bachelor s degree preferred.
  • OR 8+ years of relevant experience in lieu of a degree.

Additional Information:
  • Must be local to Denver, CO or Houston, TX.
  • Hybrid work model: One week onsite, one week remote.
  • Laptop provided; candidate must have a personal phone for communication.
