Title: Deputy Director of Critical Information Systems (or VP, depending on the candidate)

Location: 100% Onsite in San Antonio, TX (can be fliexiable for kid pick up, etc)

Bill rate or Salary: $170k-$185k hard ceiling. No bonus structure. Great healthcare, vision, dental benefits. No official relocation package but can get approved up to ~$10k.

Interview Process:
1st interview with Danny (1-hour if onsite, 30 minutes if on video), 2nd round 1-hour with Architects on the team, 3rd round 30 minutes with a C-level executive.
For relocation candidates, Danny will want to fly them in for an onsite meeting if he really likes them.

8+ years of experience, with at least 3 years in a formal IT leadership/senior management role.
I want someone a little bit more junior to me, with some cyber, leadership, hardware and networking, IT background. Needs a true technical foundation.
Must have already been an IT Director. This will be my successor.
Bachelors degree is required.

- Serve as the chief operational partner to the C-level, helping to shape and execute strategic goals aligned with enterprise priorities.
- Contribute to long-term planning initiatives, risk management strategies, and technology governance frameworks.
- Oversee daily operations across critical data systems, digital infrastructure, cybersecurity programs, and enterprise applications.
- Ensure service quality by enforcing performance standards, compliance measures, and operational benchmarks.
- Implement process enhancements and automation strategies to improve efficiency and reliability.
- Lead, coach, and support technical managers and senior staff across multiple domains.
- Direct the planning and execution of complex, cross-functional initiatives.

Must-Haves:
- 10+ Years of professional experience leading multidisciplinary technology teams within IT operations, infrastructure, or cybersecurity.
- A technical foundation in IT Infrastructure, Systems Engineering, Cybersecurity, or Software Engineering.
- Proven ability to drive strategy execution and manage large-scale projects in a dynamic environment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage stakeholders at all levels.
- Strong organizational skills, with the ability to balance multiple priorities under tight timelines.
- Working knowledge of budgeting, personnel management, and administrative processes in either nonprofit or private sectors.
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Business Administration, or related fields.
