Jr. Automation Engineer Consultant for direct financial industry client
Fully on site 5 days a week role in midtown Manhattan, NYC.

A junior-level, hands-on DevOps automation engineer who will bring their experience, best practices, and a collaborative attitude to help execute clearly defined tasks and provide level 1 application support.
The DevOps automation engineer will be responsible for creating and implementing automated solutions, analyzing data to improve existing processes, and increasing productivity in the workplace.
Technical Scripting Responsibilities:
Develop and maintain Python code for automation projects.
Investigate and resolve technical issues by deploying updates and bug fixes.
Create Python methods to enhance our alerting and escalation mechanisms.
Project Management Responsibilities:
Independently manage tasks from conception to delivery.
Improve the process of knowledge sharing through detailed documentation.
Skills:
Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python, Bash, and/or Perl.
Analytical thinker with sharp problem-solving skills.
Strong communication and documentation skills.
Self-motivated individual with excellent time management and organizational skills.
Extensive experience working with automation tools and a passion for automating repetitive tasks.
