Title: SCM Analyst / Business Analyst Location: Torrance, CA (Hybrid 4 Days Onsite per Week) Duration: 6+ Months Contract Open only on W2 Interview: Phone/Video Interview In-Person Interview
About the Role:
We are seeking a Supply Chain Management (SCM) Analyst / Business Analyst to support multiple initiatives within Parts Applications, including upcoming vehicle launch projects and service replacement part supply chain efforts.
This position requires strong experience in SCM systems implementation (e.g., Blue Yonder, Oracle, SAP) and a solid understanding of end-to-end supply chain processes, preferably within the automotive or motorcycle industries.
Responsibilities:
- Partner with business teams to understand SCM and logistics requirements.
- Lead meetings, capture minutes, gain consensus, and ensure alignment between business and technical stakeholders.
- Translate conceptual business needs into detailed functional and system requirements.
- Develop comprehensive business cases, process models, specifications, diagrams, and prototypes to guide development teams.
- Conduct and lead peer reviews of business and functional documentation.
- Evaluate and communicate the impact of system changes on business processes.
- Prepare detailed documentation including meeting notes, action items, issues lists, and system updates.
- Develop and execute test plans, scenarios, and scripts for system modifications.
- Collaborate with project managers to ensure project timelines, budgets, and deliverables are met.
- Support system implementation and post-go-live activities, acting as an IT Subject Matter Expert (SME).
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration, or equivalent experience.
- 5+ years of Business Analysis experience within Supply Chain Management (SCM) or Logistics domains.
- Strong understanding of:
- Forecasting and supplier ordering processes
- Inventory receiving, warehouse management (WMS), and shipping
- Dealer/distributor order fulfillment processes
- Advanced skills in:
- Business and functional requirement documentation
- Test plan and test script creation
- Technical and management-level presentations (PowerPoint)
- Strong knowledge of SDLC concepts, Waterfall, and Agile methodologies.
- Excellent communication, analytical, and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to lead discussions and negotiate with demanding business users.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with Blue Yonder, Oracle SCM, or SAP SCM modules.
- Background in automotive or motorcycle parts supply chain.
- Knowledge of mainframe systems and related technologies (CICS, COBOL, DB2, IMS).
- Experience working on cross-functional enterprise projects.
