At Lockheed Martin Space, we aim to harness the full potential of space to cultivate innovation, reduce costs, and push the boundaries of what technology can achieve. We're creating future-ready solutions, focusing on resiliency and urgency through our 21st Century Security vision. We're erasing boundaries and forming partnerships across industries and around the world. We're advancing spacecraft and the workforce to fuel the next generation. And we're reimagining how space can connect us, ensuring security and prosperity.

You will work with RF designs from the MHz range all the way up through Optical systems. Our Antenna and ESA product portfolio includes a wide range of projects addressing the critical needs of commercial, civil, and government customers.

You will contribute to the design and development of high reliability RF and Antenna components and subsystems with a focus on High Power, Multipaction, PIM, and Corona. You will perform requirements analysis and decomposition, develop specifications, perform architectural and product trade analyses, execute detailed implementation, validate performance, and certify a deliverable product. You may also support proposals and new business opportunities.

Key Responsibilities:
Conduct multipaction and RF breakdown testing in compliance with industry standards (e.g., ESA, MIL-STD).
Analyze and simulate multipaction and power-handling limits using tools like CST Microwave Studio, HFSS, or SPARK3D.
Collaborate with design, manufacturing, and test teams to optimize antenna performance and mitigate RF power-related risks.
Prepare and approve technical documentation including test procedures, reports, and failure analyses.

This position emphasizes "systems thinking" throughout the life-cycle of payloads, subsystems, and RF and Antenna components.

Successful applicants will typically possess:
A Bachelor's degree from an accredited college in a related discipline, or equivalent experience/combined education, with 9+ years of professional experience

Basic Qualifications

Skill Requirements:
Experience with high power or multipaction or PIM or Corona analysis or testing with Antenna components or subsystems
Experience designing antennas and/or feed networks such as reflectors, waveguide components, horns, helices, phased arrays, patches, or similar hardware.
Experience with certifying and verifying Antenna components or subsystems
Experience with Antenna payload architecture and performance analysis
Demonstrated ability to lead in cross functional teams and communicate and coordinate work with common goals and technical project management
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, including a demonstrated ability to interact effectively with customers, management, and peers
Familiarity with the design and operation of test setups for PIM, corona, and multipaction

Security Clearance Requirements:
To meet requirements of the program/customer, this position requires the selected employee ====.
There is no clearance is required to begin employment, however, candidates must have the ability to obtain (and maintain), at a minimum, a Top Secret security clearance for long-term employment
