Role: IT & Security Operations Manager
Location: Onsite, Northern New Jersey area (commutable to NYC)

Overview
A growing organization in a regulated industry is seeking an IT & Security Operations Manager to oversee day-to-day technology operations and maintain a secure, compliant environment. This role manages a small onsite technical team, ensuring that infrastructure, systems, and controls operate efficiently, securely, and in alignment with business needs.
Key Responsibilities

Lead daily IT operations, including user support, systems upkeep, network reliability, and endpoint performance.

Implement and maintain security, privacy, and compliance controls consistent with internal and industry standards.

Coordinate readiness efforts for audits and assessments, including documentation, evidence gathering, and remediation tracking.

Administer and oversee identity management, access control, and endpoint monitoring tools.

Develop and update operating procedures, technical standards, and process documentation.

Partner with senior leadership to report on technology performance, risk posture, and compliance progress.

Guide and mentor IT staff, setting priorities and ensuring service-level commitments are met.
Qualifications

5–10 years of experience in IT operations or infrastructure management, with prior leadership of a small technical team.

Hands-on experience managing or maintaining compliance-related processes and security controls.

Strong understanding of identity management, network connectivity, system reliability, and data protection practices.

Ability to communicate effectively with both technical teams and executive stakeholders.

Authorized to work in environments requiring elevated trust or security clearance.
Preferred Experience

Experience supporting organizations in regulated or certification-driven industries.

Familiarity with enterprise tools for user management, endpoint security, or help desk operations.

Background developing or maintaining operational documentation and support playbooks.
