Role: IT & Security Operations Manager
Location: Onsite, Northern New Jersey area (commutable to NYC)
Type: Full-time, Direct Hire
Work Setup: Onsite Monday–Friday


Overview

A growing organization in a regulated industry is seeking an IT & Security Operations Manager to oversee day-to-day technology operations and maintain a secure, compliant environment. This role manages a small onsite technical team, ensuring that infrastructure, systems, and controls operate efficiently, securely, and in alignment with business needs.


Key Responsibilities

  • Lead daily IT operations, including user support, systems upkeep, network reliability, and endpoint performance.

  • Implement and maintain security, privacy, and compliance controls consistent with internal and industry standards.

  • Coordinate readiness efforts for audits and assessments, including documentation, evidence gathering, and remediation tracking.

  • Administer and oversee identity management, access control, and endpoint monitoring tools.

  • Develop and update operating procedures, technical standards, and process documentation.

  • Partner with senior leadership to report on technology performance, risk posture, and compliance progress.

  • Guide and mentor IT staff, setting priorities and ensuring service-level commitments are met.


Qualifications

  • 5–10 years of experience in IT operations or infrastructure management, with prior leadership of a small technical team.

  • Hands-on experience managing or maintaining compliance-related processes and security controls.

  • Strong understanding of identity management, network connectivity, system reliability, and data protection practices.

  • Ability to communicate effectively with both technical teams and executive stakeholders.

  • Authorized to work in environments requiring elevated trust or security clearance.


Preferred Experience

  • Experience supporting organizations in regulated or certification-driven industries.

  • Familiarity with enterprise tools for user management, endpoint security, or help desk operations.

  • Background developing or maintaining operational documentation and support playbooks.
