Identity and Access Management Deputy Architect and Integration Lead

The Boeing Company is currently seeking an Identity and Access Management Deputy Architect and Integration Lead to join the team in Seattle, WA; Hazelwood, MO; or Seal Beach, CA.

As a senior technical leader in our Identity & Access Management (IAM) organization, you will be instrumental in helping shape the future of identity services by establishing a next-generation ecosystem that modernizes and transforms these capabilities to meet the security needs of our global company. Your objective is to disrupt conventional approaches, champion a cloud-first strategy and deliver outstanding experiences to both internal and external user communities.

This role demands a unique combination of strategic insight and executional discipline to ensure our platforms and practices align with industry's best practices and stay ahead of market trends.

The selected candidate will contribute to the investigation, development, architecture and documentation of next-generation cloud-based IAM solutions. A successful candidate must also provide leadership to architect integrations with on-prem directory solutions and provide guidance and insight on the transition and migration from legacy systems to the cutting edge next-gen solutions. Proactive collaboration with cross-functional organizations is critical aspect of this position.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Partner, collaborate and lead team efforts for solution design, development and implementation of Identity & Access Management services
  • Security-first development of solution architecture, documentation and support of Microsoft-based identity systems ensuring secure integration with cloud and hybrid platforms
  • Lead the design and deployment of Public Key Infrastructure (PKI) services, including certificate lifecycle management and cryptographic key protection
  • Architect and implement identity orchestration frameworks that unify disparate identity systems and streamline user journeys
  • Define and enforce policy-based access control (PBAC) models to support dynamic, context-aware authorization across applications and platforms
  • Drive adoption of digital proofing and digital authentication technologies to strengthen identity assurance and reduce fraud
  • Partner with security, compliance, and business stakeholders to align IAM strategies with organizational goals
  • Provide technical leadership, mentoring, and governance for IAM standards, patterns, and best practices

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • 5+ years of experience in PKI design, deployment, and operations
  • 5+ years of experience with identity orchestration platforms
  • 5+ years of experience in policy-based access control (PBAC) and modern authorization standards (ABAC, RBAC, XACML, OPA, etc.)
  • 3+ years of experience with federated identity protocols (SAML, OIDC, OAuth 2.0) and cloud IAM services (Azure AD, AWS IAM, Google Cloud Platform IAM)
  • Experience with digital identity proofing (e.g., NIST 800-63-3, identity verification services) and multi-factor authentication (MFA).
  • Experience with translating complex security requirements into scalable, user-friendly solutions

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • Industry certifications such as CISSP, CCSP, CISM, or Microsoft/AWS security certifications
  • Experience in regulated industries (aerospace, defense, finance, healthcare)
  • Experience in zero trust architecture and adaptive authentication
