Job Title: ADA Accessibility Web Forms Tester
Location: Atlanta, GA (Hybrid must be local to Metro Atlanta)
Start Dates:

  • Tester #1: ~11/01/2025 04/30/2026 (Part-time, 4 hrs/day)

  • Tester #2: ~12/01/2025 04/30/2026 (Part-time, 4 hrs/day)
    Duration: 5 6 Months


Position Overview:

The Georgia Department of Revenue (DOR) is seeking two ADA Accessibility Web Forms Testers to review and test interactive forms for compliance with accessibility standards. The testers will identify accessibility issues, document findings, and provide remediation recommendations to ensure compliance with WCAG 2.1/2.2, Section 508, and ADA guidelines.

This is a part-time hybrid role requiring 4 hours per day. Candidates must be local to Metro Atlanta and able to comply with state background, fingerprinting, and tax clearance requirements.


Responsibilities:

  • Review and test web forms for accessibility across browsers and devices.

  • Use assistive technologies (NVDA, JAWS, VoiceOver, Adobe Acrobat) to validate form accessibility.

  • Identify accessibility issues with keyboard navigation, focus order, ARIA usage, labels, color contrast, and error handling.

  • Document accessibility defects with references to WCAG success criteria and provide actionable remediation recommendations.

  • Validate fixes and retest after remediation to ensure accessibility compliance.

  • Work closely with the Taxpayer Services Division team to integrate accessibility into the form design process.

  • Ensure business logic remains intact while accessibility fixes are applied.


Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • 2+ years experience testing or guiding forms/documents for ADA, Section 508, and WCAG compliance.

  • Proficiency with accessibility testing tools (Axe, WAVE, Lighthouse, ANDI, Color Contrast Analyzer).

  • Familiarity with WCAG 2.1/2.2 success criteria for form elements (1.3.1, 3.3.1 3.3.4, 4.1.2).

  • Hands-on experience with screen readers and keyboard-only navigation.

  • Strong documentation and communication skills.

  • Excellent attention to detail.

  • Basic coding knowledge: JavaScript, HTML, CSS, and ARIA attributes.

  • Ability to evaluate JavaScript code for accessibility impact.


Preferred Qualifications:

  • IAAP Web Accessibility Specialist (WAS) certification (highly desired).

  • IAAP CPACC certification (plus).

  • Knowledge of legal accessibility requirements (ADA, Section 508, EN 301 549).

  • Experience in government compliance projects.


Compliance Requirements:

  • Candidate must be local to Metro Atlanta.

  • Tax Clearance Letter required at submission.

  • Must pass background check, fingerprinting, and tax compliance review.
