Location: Walnut Creek, CA (Hybrid: TuesThurs On-site; Possible San Jose Office)
Work Setup: Hybrid
We are seeking an enthusiastic OSP Engineer II to support fiber network design and construction initiatives in the Walnut Creek region. This is a hybrid role with some on-site presence required, primarily focused on outside plant (OSP) fiber engineering and related permitting tasks.

OSP Engineer II Responsibilities
- Support fiber plant design projects and contribute to construction planning
- Utilize software tools such as ArcGIS/ESRI, 3GIS, Google Earth, and Visio for mapping and design
- Apply knowledge of local plant infrastructure and engineering databases
- Assist in the acquisition of permits, right-of-way documentation, and property rights
- Coordinate with internal and external teams to ensure timely project execution
OSP Engineer II Qualifications
- 35 years of experience in OSP engineering and fiber plant design
- Background in telecom, wireless, or data networking industries
- Proficient with Word, Excel, Visio, ArcGIS/ESRI, 3GIS, and Google Earth
- Understanding of permitting, right-of-way, and network plant practices
- Familiarity with engineering systems and documentation tools
Nice-to-Have Skills
- Prior experience with municipal permitting processes
- Exposure to utility construction or infrastructure planning
Education/Certifications
- No specific certifications required; related technical education or credentials preferred
