Job Title: Senior Quality Engineer Electronics / PCBA

About the Role

We are looking for a highly experienced Senior Quality Engineer to ensure exceptional product quality across PCBA and system-level manufacturing.
This role serves as a key technical liaison between engineering, suppliers, and manufacturing teams driving continuous improvement, failure analysis, and flawless execution during New Product Introduction (NPI) and production builds.


Key Responsibilities

  • Lead quality reporting, data review, and defect trend analysis across PCBA and system-level processes.

  • Perform in-depth root-cause investigations and implement effective corrective and preventive actions.

  • Oversee NPI quality readiness, including first-article inspection, process validation, and manufacturability checks.

  • Partner with internal teams and suppliers to manage quality escalations and ensure timely resolution.

  • Review and validate supplier Failure Analysis (FA) reports for accuracy and alignment with expectations.

  • Support audits, process reviews, and cross-functional quality improvement projects.

  • Mentor junior engineers and technicians on quality methods and tools.


Qualifications

  • Bachelor s degree in Electrical Engineering or related discipline.

  • Minimum 5 years experience in Quality Engineering or Manufacturing Engineering.

  • Strong understanding of SMT, PIH, RMA repair, and PCBA manufacturing processes.

  • Proficiency in IPC-A-610, J-STD-001, and other electronic assembly standards.

  • Hands-on experience analyzing yield, test, and defect data.

  • Proven ability to drive cross-functional teams through corrective action and continuous improvement.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience managing NPI-to-mass-production transitions.

  • Exposure to silicon or mechanical manufacturing environments.

  • Professional certifications such as Six Sigma, Lean, CQE.

  • Multilingual ability (Mandarin, Spanish, Vietnamese) is a plus.
