Role: Senior Procurement Analyst
Location: Long Island City, NY (fully onsite)
Duration: 12 Months contract
Schedule: 8-hour workdays, with a 1-hour unpaid meal break

Summary of Position:
  • We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled and experienced Senior Procurement Analyst to join its dynamic team. This critical role is responsible for the full lifecycle of procurement activities, ensuring compliance, efficiency, and best value for the City in support of public health initiatives.
    Job Duties:
  • Lead and manage the end-to-end procurement process, from requisition to contract award, for a wide range of goods and services.
  • Draft, review, and issue complex solicitations, including Requests for Proposals (RFPs). Analyze proposals and bids, and conduct cost and price analyses.
  • Ensure all procurement activities comply with federal, state, and city regulations, including the NYC Procurement Policy Board (PPB) rules. Prepare detailed reports on procurement status, metrics, and outcomes.
  • Serve as a primary point of contact for internal stakeholders, providing expert advice on procurement strategies and procedures. Work closely with legal, finance, and program teams.
  • Guide and mentor junior procurement staff.
  • Detail-oriented, organized, and a strong problem-solver. Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications and Requirements:
  • Strong knowledge of government procurement rules, regulations, and best practices.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills. Ability to work effectively with diverse teams and stakeholders.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills.

Education and Experience:
  • A bachelor's degree from an accredited college in Business Administration, Public Administration, Finance, or a related field.
  • A minimum of 5 years of progressive f progressively responsible experience in government procurement or a related field. Experience in a large, complex organization is preferred.
