Senior Web Developer - Oracle
Statement of Work
This engagement is to provide DTS/DWS with professional services expertise as a Senior Web Developer with experience with Oracle and Java.
Duration
The proposed duration of this engagement is expected to be a minimum of one year with the possibility of extending based on funding. The selected candidate will be joining the UWORKS Application team as a Senior Web Developer with experience with Oracle and Java.
Vendor Qualifications
- Expert understanding of designing and implementing relational databases, especially Oracle versions 18 and above
- Oracle Procedural Language (PL)/SQL knowledge preferred
- Expert knowledge in Angular versions 17 and above
- Expert knowledge of Java fundamentals, versions 17 and above
- Knowledge of Java servlets and filters
- Expert understanding of RESTful web services/APIs
- Expert understanding of popular Object Relational Mapping frameworks, especially JPA/Hibernate and Entity Framework
- Understanding of SOAP web services
- Proficient in CI/CD methodologies and automated deployment pipelines
- Expert understanding of Spring MVC, especially Rest Controllers
- Proficient understanding of Spring IoC
- Proficient understanding of Scrum/Agile projects
- Proficient in Jira
- High proficiency in GIT and GitHub
- Proficient in Maven
- Proficient in usage of IntelliJ IDEA
- Knowledge of Section 508 compliance development
- Proficient in AWS cloud technology
- Proficiency in terraform / terragrunt code
Project Description
The UWORKS development team is an application group under the Workforce Development Division (WDD) for the Department of Workforce Services (DWS). They enhance and maintain websites and applications for both internal and external customers for DWS. The team provides programming support for all WDD web projects and internal applications and will be an integral part in modernizing the current Oracle Forms-based UWORKS application.
This position will be a full-stack developer involved in conversion from Oracle Forms system and development of the new web system.
Note: An in-person interview is required as well as completion of an online assessment in PluralSight with reported results.
