Job Description

  • Expertise in translating IT requirements in the design, development, and assembly of components to create custom information systems. Typical examples of the deliverables are functional and technical designs, models, components, code, unit tests, and documentation.
  • Programming in Open Text xpression and Ex stream
  • Perform code reviews, conduct technical design discussions, and track deliverables of the team members.
  • Responsible for deploying code to various environments such as Test, Performance and Production regions using latest DevOps techniques like Continuous integration (CI) and Continuous deployment (CD) with the help of Atlassian tools like Bitbucket, Bamboo, Veracode and U deploy. Responsible for providing application warranty support post implementation.
  • Documenting High level, low-level design documents, application development processes, procedures, and standards.
  • Development of LOE (Level of effort) for a business requirement.
  • Assess client's requirements, and product's specifications/features.
  • Create the required artifacts (roadmaps, design document, diagrams, build book, etc.).
  • Work closely with various teams to gather business and technical requirements.
  • Perform and Balance tasks on multiple concurrent projects across multiple customers.
  • Accountable for successful delivery of highly complex, multi-disciplined projects that deliver lasting and measurable value to clients.
  • Develop a point of view, capture, prioritize and analyze technical (functional and non-functional) requirements.
  • Use an array of languages such as COBOL, JCL, SW, OGL, JAVA, .NET, DCF, PPFA, Open Text xPressions, Open Text Exstream (experience in Ex stream cloud is a plus) and others depending on specific requirements, in analyzing, designing, testing, and modifying application software for enhanced functionality and productivity.
    • COBOL Common Business Oriented Language is a commonly used coding language used in ZOS mainframes.
    • JCL Job Control Language is a set of statements that you code to tell the z/OS operating system about the work you want it to perform.
    • Stream weaver - Stream weaver offers print stream engineering and distributed output management. Used for Converting print streams from simplex to multiple-up formats.
    • OGL Overlay Generation Language is used for creating and modifying electronic versions of your preprinted forms, called overlays.
    • DCF - Document Composition Facility is a program that is used primarily to prepare and format documents for printing.
    • xPressions - Built on a service-oriented architecture, xPressions generates a wide variety of customer communications including correspondence, proposals, contracts, policies, statements, and marketing materials from a single robust system.
    • Ex stream OpenText Ex stream is used for automating and simplifying document composition, administration, and distribution.
