Azure Cloud Engineer- General

Technical Skills:

  • Proficiency in cloud infrastructure management, including virtual machines, storage, networking, and security.
  • Strong knowledge of Azure services (Event Hubs for Kafka, Redis)
  • Some experience with SA

We are seeking a highly skilled Azure Cloud Engineer with a minimum of 8 years of hands-on Azure experience and strong proficiency in Terraform. In this role, you will play a critical part in building, automating, and integrating Infrastructure as Code (IaC) patterns to support multiple application teams across our cloud ecosystem.

You'll collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement scalable, secure, and efficient cloud infrastructure while contributing to a unified automation framework that enables rapid, repeatable deployments.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, implement, and manage cloud infrastructure solutions using Microsoft Azure.
  • Build and maintain reusable Infrastructure as Code (IaC) patterns using Terraform.
  • Develop and integrate cloud automation workflows to support application deployments and infrastructure provisioning.
  • Collaborate with DevOps, Security, and Application teams to ensure cloud environments meet business, performance, and compliance requirements.
  • Support CI/CD pipeline integration for IaC deployments and updates.
  • Implement and manage Azure services such as Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS), Azure App Services, Azure Functions, Virtual Networks, and Storage Accounts.
  • Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize cloud infrastructure performance and availability.
  • Maintain documentation and best practices for Azure IaC deployments and automation patterns.
  • Participate in architectural reviews, security assessments, and cost-optimization efforts.

Required Qualifications:

  • 8+ years of hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure cloud services.
  • Strong expertise with Terraform (minimum 4+ years), including module development and automation workflows.
  • Experience implementing Infrastructure as Code in complex, multi-environment cloud environments.
  • Solid understanding of cloud networking, identity, security, and governance in Azure.
  • Proficient with DevOps tools such as Azure DevOps, Git, and CI/CD pipelines.
  • Strong scripting skills in PowerShell, Bash, or Python.
  • Experience with monitoring and logging tools (Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, etc.).
  • Ability to work collaboratively across teams and communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Azure certifications such as Azure Administrator Associate or Azure Solutions Architect Expert, preferred.
