Investment Management Technology Lead (IMT Lead)

CVS is hiring an Investment Management Technology Lead to drive digital transformation for a $37+ billion multi-asset investment portfolio. This role combines investment acumen with technical leadership to modernize systems, align technology with business goals, and deliver scalable, future-ready solutions. This role will be responsible for auditing current tools, suggesting enhancements, researching and presenting additional tools, implementations and maintenance and enhancements of new additions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Strategic Leadership: Develop and execute a flexible investment technology roadmap with asset class heads.
  • Team leadership: Lead a develop a team of developers.
  • Technology Oversight: Assess and upgrade infrastructure, including databases, software, and front-end systems.
  • Innovation: Identify and implement emerging technologies to enhance investment processes.
  • Execution & Enhancement: Lead implementation, testing, and ongoing improvements; manage enhancement requests.
  • Collaboration: Partner with investment teams, project managers, and IT (CVS and PIM) to ensure alignment and effective communication.

Required Qualifications:
  • 10+ years of experience; 6+ in technology consulting or software engineering, 3+ in architecture.
  • Bachelor's in IT, Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (Master's preferred).
  • Understanding of financial services or asset management.
  • Proficiency in Azure, data modeling, real-time data processing, and multiple programming languages.

Preferred:
  • PMP, CAD, or CFA certification.
  • Experience with investment systems, financial markets, and software development.
  • Experience with investment operations (e.g., NAV, pricing, regulatory reporting).
  • Background in building financial reporting systems and user-facing applications.

Pay Range

The typical pay range for this role is:

$100,000.00 - $231,540.00

This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors. This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above. This position also includes an award target in the company's equity award program.
