Description:

The Senior Software Engineer is a member of the Software Engineering team, responsible for designing web infrastructure, development and maintenance of software applications, autonomous services, desktop applications, web applications, web services, scripts, and utility programs. Conducts analysis and collaborates with subject matter experts in the planning, design, development, and provides technical expertise. Determines user needs, programming techniques and controls requirements, prepares operating instructions and user guides. Ensures development meets software standards and security compliance.

Responsibilities:
  • Developing architectural design and development of web services and web-based applications, translating custom user requirements into high-performance solutions for different on-premises and cloud solutions.
  • Provide software solutions and demonstrate quality and security in developing web applications using C# and JavaScript.
  • Display proficiency in troubleshooting infrastructure integration, active directory/Azure AD authentication integration with IIS servers, and ensuring IIS security compliance.
  • Development and deployment of applications through CI/CD pipelines, leveraging cloud-based deployments to optimize performance and delivery.
  • Create and troubleshoot stored procedures for SQL Server databases and Azure SQL, ensuring data integrity and efficiency.
  • Uphold adherence to governance and policy requirements to deliver secure and compliant software solutions.
  • Perform critical troubleshooting of applications. Perform scheduled operations and maintenance of web servers, troubleshoot service desk tickets, and follow-up escalations as necessary.

Skills and Knowledge Requirements:
  • Experience in developing cloud applications, with preference for Azure expertise with cloud migration, application analysis, preferably in Azure Cloud.
  • Excellent in C# and JavaScript for creating web applications and web services.
  • Possess extensive web development experience utilizing .NET, MVC, JSON, JQuery, HTML5, and CSS3 to create seamless user experiences.
  • Demonstrate advanced knowledge and experience using cloud-based tools and scripts, embracing cloud technologies.
  • Demonstrate proficiency in SQL server development, stored procedures, and T-SQL to effectively manage data-driven applications.
  • Showcase in-depth knowledge of Azure Key Vault, application identities, certificates, and Azure Application services.
  • Experience in managing Microsoft Internet Information Services (IIS), adeptly resolving application and web server errors, and maintaining IIS security compliance.
  • Exhibit understanding of OAuth authorization services in ASP .NET Core, ensuring robust security protocols.
  • Familiarity with Azure DevOps or GitHub in developing CI/CD pipelines for effective version control and collaboration.
  • Exhibit outstanding verbal and written communication skills, adeptly conveying technical concepts to stakeholders to define system requirements.
  • Knowledge of U.S. Department of Defense security requirements, regulations
