Job Title: Practice Architect DevSecOps / Platform Engineering
Location: US Remote (25 35% Travel; Central/East regions slightly preferred)

Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and highly technical Practice Architect to join our DevSecOps and Platform Engineering practice. This is a hybrid between delivery oversight, pre-sales engagement, and hands-on technical leadership.
You ll work directly with practice leadership and sales teams to scope, solution, and support strategic client engagements. The ideal candidate brings a strong background in software/platform engineering, remains close to the tech, and thrives in consultative, customer-facing environments. This is a critical hire intended to help scale the practice without compromising quality, with a billable target of 30 35%.
Key Responsibilities
- Partner directly with practice leadership and sales overlays to scope, price, and qualify complex solutions across clients and industries
- Act as a technical advisor and delivery architect in pre-sales cycles, collaborating with account teams and solution architects
- Support client-facing delivery activities with a 30 35% billable target, maintaining high quality and consistency
- Deliver hands-on architectural guidance in areas including:
- DevSecOps and platform modernization
- CI/CD pipelines
- Custom integrations and automation
- Orchestration/configuration tools
- Kubernetes at scale (multi-cloud, edge, and CSP environments)
- Identify delivery gaps and proactively coordinate with trusted external partners when needed
- Mentor and guide junior team members and contribute to internal knowledge sharing
- Help define practice standards and influence capability development across the org
Qualifications
- Strong hands-on background in software or platform engineering
- Must be technical enough to stay close to the work, but also comfortable in client conversations and early-stage scoping
- Demonstrated experience bridging technical execution and business value
- Prior pre-sales exposure or experience in an integrator/consulting environment preferred
- Ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced, ambiguous, and collaborative environment
- Track record of partnering with sellers and technical teams to shape winning strategies
- Willingness to travel 25 35% as needed
