Job Description

We are seeking a highly capable IT Project Manager with strong Python development expertise to lead and deliver complex software initiatives in a distributed, cloud-native environment. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with API development using Python, distributed asynchronous systems, and cloud platforms such as Microsoft Azure or AWS. This role requires strong communication skills for stakeholder collaboration, deep technical knowledge of Docker, Kafka, Kubernetes, and message broker systems, and a passion for mentoring junior developers and driving DevOps best practices.

Qualifications

• Bachelor s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
• 8+ years of experience in IT project management and software development
• Strong understanding of object-oriented programming, DevOps, and CI/CD pipelines
• Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills

Experience

• Proven experience in API development using Python as an object-oriented language
• Deep understanding of distributed asynchronous systems and immutable environments
• Experience with SQL DB, Oracle, Docker, Kafka, Kubernetes, and cloud platforms like Azure or AWS
• Familiarity with GitHub, message brokers (e.g., RabbitMQ, ActiveMQ, AWS SQS), and DevOps practices
• Ability to collaborate with functional developers to define, develop, test, and release features
• Experience mentoring junior staff and resolving production issues with effective workarounds
• Exposure to Oil & Gas applications such as DEX, Deal Entry Portal (DEP), and Endur Products is a plus

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage end-to-end project execution, from planning to deployment
• Design and implement scalable APIs using Python in a distributed architecture
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality software solutions
• Troubleshoot production issues and provide timely bug fixes
• Drive automation, testing, and continuous integration/deployment practices
• Ensure alignment with business goals and provide regular updates to stakeholders
• Support integration with Enterprise Risk Management Systems (ETRMs) for trade data accuracy
