Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Ping Federate Engineer with strong hands-on expertise in PingFederate, PingDirectory, and DataSync. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, implementing, and supporting federated identity solutions, directory integrations, and synchronization between identity data stores to ensure secure and seamless authentication and authorization across enterprise applications.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and manage PingFederate solutions for SSO, SAML, OAuth, and OpenID Connect integrations.
- Configure and manage PingDirectory (LDAP-based directory services) for identity data management.
- Set up and maintain Ping DataSync for synchronization between identity repositories and external data sources.
- Integrate PingFederate with various applications (web, cloud, mobile) and identity providers (AD, Azure AD, Okta, etc.).
- Develop and maintain authentication/authorization flows, adapters, token processors, and connections.
- Troubleshoot federation and directory sync issues, ensuring high availability and performance.
- Collaborate with IAM architects, developers, and security teams to enforce enterprise identity governance and compliance standards.
- Support automation and scripting for deployments and configuration (using tools like Ansible, Jenkins, or shell scripting).
- Prepare technical documentation, standard operating procedures, and runbooks.
Required Skills & Experience:
- 5+ years of hands-on experience in PingFederate implementation and administration.
- 3+ years of experience with PingDirectory and PingDataSync.
- Strong understanding of SAML 2.0, OAuth 2.0, OIDC, WS-Fed, and LDAP protocols.
- Experience integrating federated SSO with cloud apps (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud Platform, Salesforce, etc.).
- Proficient in Java, Groovy, or scripting languages for custom adapters and automation.
- Familiarity with Active Directory, Azure AD, and identity governance (IGA) solutions.
- Knowledge of TLS, certificates, API security, and token management.
- Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills in large enterprise IAM environments.
- Excellent communication, documentation, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
