Data Center Support Engineer
Location: Roanoke, TX
Available Shift:7 PM 5 AM CST Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday
Duration: 12 Months
Pay Rate: A reasonable estimate of the current pay range for this position is $25.00 to $35.00 hourly on W2. Actual pay will be based on a variety of factors, including shift, location, experience, skill set, performance, licensure and certification, and business needs, and will be set by your employer. The range for this position in other geographic locations may differ. Certain positions may also be eligible for variable incentive compensation, such as bonuses or commissions, that is not included in base pay.
Job Description:
Infrastructure Management: Deploy, configure, and maintain server hardware, storage, and networking equipment in the data center.
Perform routine hardware and software maintenance, upgrades, and patches.
Monitoring and Troubleshooting: Monitor data center performance and respond to alerts promptly. Identify and troubleshoot hardware, network, and system issues to ensure optimal performance.
Security and Compliance: Implement and enforce security measures to safeguard data center assets.
Ensure compliance with industry standards and best practices.
Documentation: Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of data center configurations, processes, and procedures.
Qualifications:
Proven experience in data center operations and infrastructure management.
Strong knowledge of server hardware, storage systems, and networking protocols.
Proficient in troubleshooting hardware and software issues.
Familiarity with virtualization technologies.Understanding of security best practices and compliance standards.
Excellent documentation and communication skills.
Ability to work in a fast-paced and collaborative environment.
