Summary

Brief description

The position is responsible for analysing existing change, configuration, and release management processes, identifying gaps, and leading the implementation of an improved vision for the client's ServiceNow application. Therefore, the candidate must have extensive experience in ServiceNow.

Responsibilities:

Identify gaps, inefficiencies, and improvement opportunities of ServiceNow implementation, assess the current use of ServiceNow and identify opportunities to expand its use to improve workflows
Design and develop custom applications, modules, and integrations within the ServiceNow platform.
Customise and configure ServiceNow modules, including ITSM (Incident, Problem, Change, Request), Knowledge, Service Catalogue, CMDB, and others as required.
Develop and maintain ServiceNow Dashboard, Portal, workflows, business rules, UI policies, client scripts, and scheduled jobs.
Integrate ServiceNow with third-party systems using REST/SOAP APIs and MID servers.
Collaborate with process owners, architects, and stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
Ensure code quality, performance, and adherence to platform best practices.
Assist in platform upgrades, patching, and performance tuning.
Provide technical documentation, user guides, and support during testing and deployment.
Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to configurations, scripts, and integrations.
Collaborate with various stakeholders to understand existing configuration, change, and management processes.

Qualifications

9+ years of hands-on ServiceNow development experience.
Strong understanding of core ServiceNow modules, including ITSM, CMDB, and Service Catalogue.
Proficient in scripting using JavaScript, Glide API, and ServiceNow Studio.
Experience with REST/SOAP API integrations and authentication mechanisms (OAuth, basic auth, etc.) is a plus.
Familiarity with ServiceNow Flow Designer, Portal, and Automation Engine.
Experience with version control tools (e.g., Git) and CI/CD practices in ServiceNow.
Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
