Director of Solutions Architecture

Job Summary:
The Director of Solutions Architecture will play a pivotal role in our digital transformation journey. This individual will be responsible for leading the design and implementation of our AWS cloud architecture, ensuring a seamless and secure migration of our data and applications. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in cloud computing, specifically with AWS, and a proven track record of leading large-scale technology transformations in the financial services industry.
Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the strategic planning and execution of migrating our technology infrastructure to AWS, in alignment with business goals and regulatory requirements.
• Design and implement scalable, secure, and resilient cloud architecture solutions that support the firm's operations and growth objectives.
• Collaborate with IT, security, and business teams to ensure the architecture meets our security, compliance, and operational standards.
• Provide technical leadership and guidance to a team of solutions architects and engineers, fostering an environment of innovation and continuous improvement.
• Manage stakeholder relationships across the organization, effectively communicating technical strategies and solutions to non-technical audiences.
• Keep abreast of industry trends and AWS innovations, identifying opportunities to leverage new technologies and services to benefit the firm.
• Develop and manage budgets related to cloud infrastructure and services, optimizing costs without compromising on performance or security.
• Establish and oversee governance processes and best practices for cloud architecture and operations.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• 10+ years of experience in technology roles, with at least 5 years focused on cloud computing and architecture, preferably within the financial services or asset management industry.
• Deep technical expertise in AWS services and architecture, with professional certifications (e.g., AWS Solutions Architect - Professional) highly preferred.
• Strong understanding of financial services regulations and the implications for cloud architecture and data security.
• Demonstrated experience leading and managing technology transformation projects, with a focus on cloud migrations.
• Excellent leadership and team management skills, with the ability to inspire and drive high performance.
• Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills, capable of engaging effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
