Description

We are looking for a skilled Site Support Tech II to join our team in San Antonio, Texas. In this role, you will provide comprehensive technical support for desktop systems, network infrastructure, and related hardware and software. This is a long-term contract position that requires excellent troubleshooting skills and the ability to work effectively with both technical and non-technical personnel.

Responsibilities:
Provide technical support for desktop systems, workstations, servers, and network-related issues in a diverse IT environment.
Perform installations, configurations, and troubleshooting of hardware, software, and peripherals to ensure optimal performance.
Maintain system security by managing passwords, safeguarding data integrity, and implementing file system security measures.
Communicate complex technical information clearly to both technical and non-technical users.
Recommend and implement hardware and software solutions, including upgrades and new acquisitions, to meet user and organizational needs.
Assist in selecting and configuring suitable software tailored to user requirements.
Collaborate on IT infrastructure projects and contribute to their successful implementation.
Conduct user training sessions to enhance understanding and utilization of basic and specialized applications.
Ensure adherence to company policies, procedures, and quality standards in all technical support activities.
Monitor and optimize system performance, ensuring minimal downtime and effective resource utilization.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent with at least 4 years of related technical support experience.
Proficiency in troubleshooting and maintaining Windows operating systems and related software.
Strong customer service skills with the ability to effectively communicate technical concepts to diverse audiences.
Familiarity with security protocols, including HIPAA compliance, to ensure sensitive data protection.
Proven ability to install, configure, and maintain servers, desktop systems, and related hardware.
Experience with system upgrades, migrations, and optimization techniques.
Solid understanding of corporate policies and procedures related to IT operations.
Willingness to travel as needed to provide on-site support and training.
