Description
We are looking for an experienced Senior Data Scientist to join our Enterprise Data and Analytics team in Columbus, Ohio. This is a long-term contract position where you will apply your expertise in advanced analytics and machine learning to uncover meaningful insights and contribute to strategic decision-making processes. By leveraging cutting-edge tools and data-driven methodologies, you will play a key role in helping us better understand our customers and achieve organizational goals.
Responsibilities:
Design and implement advanced analytical models to extract actionable insights from large and complex datasets.
Conduct large-scale experiments and develop predictive models to address business challenges.
Research and apply state-of-the-art techniques in machine learning, deep learning, and artificial intelligence.
Define and refine requirements for training and evolving machine learning models and algorithms.
Present data-driven recommendations to influence product teams and organizational strategies.
Advocate for and implement best practices in analytics within cross-functional teams.
Oversee the end-to-end model development process, including data sourcing, model selection, result presentation, and production deployment.
Develop and maintain the organization's data infrastructure to support analytics and reporting.
Create detailed reports and dashboards to assist senior leadership in decision-making processes.
Stay updated on emerging technologies and tools in data science to enhance team capabilities.
Requirements
Strong expertise in machine learning techniques and data analytics tools.
Proficiency in programming languages such as Python and R, SAS, as well as machine learning frameworks like TensorFlow and scikit-learn.
Solid understanding of statistical methods including Bayesian networks, regression analysis, and hierarchical modeling.
Experience working with both structured and unstructured data sources.
Ability to communicate complex analytical results to both technical and non-technical audiences.
Proven ability to work independently and collaboratively in fast-paced environments while meeting deadlines.
Familiarity with cloud-based machine learning platforms, such as AWS SageMaker.
Background in financial services or similar industries is preferred.
