Overview
TalentFish is casting a line for a Workday Data Migration Specialist. This is a remote contract opportunity. The Workday Data Migration Specialist will be responsible for providing hands-on technical support and assisting with catch-up transactions (delta and retroactive data loads) involving HCM and Payroll data, specifically focusing on extracting data from Lawson/Infor to Workday during implementation.

What You Bring to the Role (Ideal Experience)

  • Strong SQL skills with extensive experience in hands-on data extraction and script maintenance.
  • Direct experience with Lawson / Infor HCM and Payroll data structures.
  • Solid understanding of HR and Payroll concepts, including employee records, compensation, and benefits.
  • Familiarity with Workday EIBs and a clear understanding of data formatting requirements for successful loads.
  • Detail-oriented mindset with the ability to work independently and meet strict project deadlines.

What You'll Do (Skills Used in this Position)

  • Write and maintain SQL scripts to accurately identify and extract HCM and Payroll data changes between specific dates.
  • Analyze Lawson / Infor data related to employees, jobs, compensation, benefits, and payroll to ensure integrity.
  • Produce clean, EIB-ready CSV files that map correctly to Workday data expectations.
  • Collaborate with functional and technical teams to confirm cutoff dates, logic, and extraction parameters.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve data issues identified during the testing phases to ensure accurate migration.

Compensation and Employment
The expected hourly rate for this position is $70 - $100/hr (Market Rate) depending on experience and qualifications. This role also qualifies for comprehensive benefits such as health insurance, 401(k), and paid time off. TalentFish is committed to pay transparency and equal opportunity.
