Assembly and Blasting Technician

Staffmark is seeking a reliable and experienced Assembly & Blasting Technician to join a leading manufacturing team in Springville, AL. If you have mechanical assembly and surface preparation experience and enjoy hands-on, detail-oriented work, this is a great opportunity to grow your career.

Pay: $20.78/hour

Schedule: 1st Shift | Monday-Friday | 6:00 AM - 2:30 PM

Responsibilities:

• Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and assembly instructions


• Assemble products or components using hand/power tools and machinery


• Inspect parts for quality and accuracy


• Maintain clear and accurate production documentation


• Report defects, material shortages, or equipment issues to your supervisor


• Maintain a clean, organized work area


• Set up and operate abrasive blasting equipment


• Remove rust, paint, and debris using appropriate media (e.g., sand, grit)


• Inspect surfaces before and after blasting to ensure readiness for painting or coating


• Perform basic equipment maintenance and report any issues


• Follow all safety procedures and environmental guidelines

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or GED preferred


• 1+ year of experience in mechanical assembly or industrial blasting required


• Comfortable lifting up to 50 lbs and working on your feet for extended periods


• Strong attention to detail, safety, and quality standards
