American National is seeking a Sr. Systems Analyst - SAP FICO as a member of the Financial SAP Systems team within the Application Development group at our League City, Texas location. In this position you will collaborate with management, business users, and IT personnel to determine requirements and implement solutions. In addition, you'll be responsible for requests to troubleshoot software problems as well as drafting documentation.

What Will You Do?

Analyze new business processes and changes to existing functionalities, translating user requirements into functional and technical design specifications for SAP modules. Identify opportunities for improvement and recommend SAP-based solutions.
Develop and execute test plans and scripts to validate SAP configurations and customizations related to various modules.
Create and maintain comprehensive documentation of SAP configurations, business processes, and training materials.
Quickly respond to support tickets from customers and departments according to our ITIL process/procedure.
Maintain Financial SAP Systems to ensure we are meeting all SLAs with our customers. The primary customer for this team is the Finance department for American National.
When required, assist with Disaster Recovery tests and updates.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field, or ten years of relevant experience.
Previous experience working in the financial services and/or insurance industry.
At least 3 years of end-to-end SAP Implementation Lifecycle experience.
SAP Functional expertise in Finance Record to Report area (General Ledger, Controlling, Fixed Assets, Internal Orders, Treasury, Cash, Bank).
Overall understanding of the SAP Technical Landscape - Basis, Infrastructure, Development, Change Control, GRC.
Finance and Controlling processes and knowledge of US GAAP reporting.
Strong interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills.
Self-starter who uses a proactive approach to software, maintenance, security, and applications.

Preferred Qualifications:

SAP S/4 HANA experience in Finance. Experience working on an S/4 HANA conversion project would be a plus.
Additional functional expertise in Finance to Manage area (Projects, Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), Purchase Requisition (PR), Purchase Order (PO), Contract Management (CM), Invoice Processing (IV), Business Partner (BP), Vendor Master, Customer Master, Fiori Apps, and end-user security roles).
Background in using a variety of programming languages and protocols.
Knowledge of analyzing customized SAP integrations.
Proficiency in ERP systems, Business Warehouse, BPC, Microsoft Office Suite.
Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and prioritize competing tasks.
