Location: Bethpage, NY or Plano, TX

Type: Contract Position

Job description:

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the design, development, and delivery of solutions on the Google Customer Engineering Services (CES) platform.
  • Collaborate with Product and Design teams to define sprint goals, prioritize features, and establish clear technical roadmaps.
  • Create and review high-level and detailed technical designs, ensuring best practices and scalability.
  • Develop and integrate APIs and AI-driven services leveraging Google Cloud technologies.
  • Work with Large Language Models (LLMs) and AI frameworks (e.g., Dialogflow, Vertex AI) to build intelligent conversational and automation solutions.
  • Proactively identify and resolve technical blockers, ensuring smooth delivery and optimal performance.
  • Support debugging, root cause analysis, and resolution of production issues.
  • Implement continuous integration and delivery (CI/CD) processes to streamline development and deployment.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams and mentor developers to uphold code quality and development standards.

Primary Skills / Experience (100%)

  • Python Backend development and automation scripting.
  • AI Integrations & LLM Models Experience with Dialogflow, Vertex AI, or similar.
  • Cloud Technologies Google Cloud Platform (Google Cloud Platform) preferred.
  • API Development & Integration Building and consuming RESTful APIs for CES applications.

Secondary Skills / Experience (50%)

  • JavaScript / Node.js Frontend or server-side scripting for API integrations.
  • Prompt Engineering Designing and optimizing AI prompts for LLM-based interactions.
  • CI/CD Using tools like Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or Cloud Build.
  • Git Source control management and versioning

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Strong experience in AI/ML solution development on cloud platforms.
  • Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams and deliver complex projects independently.
  • Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills in production environments.
  • Prior experience in a Google Cloud or enterprise-level customer engineering environment is a plus.
