As a QA Test Automation Engineer on the Sales and Service Technology team, you'll help ensure the quality and reliability of distributed Java-based web services that support critical business functions. You'll work in a fast-paced, agile environment, collaborating with cross-functional teams to design, implement, and maintain automated testing solutions that drive continuous delivery and operational excellence.

About the Job
As a QA Test Automation Engineer on the Sales and Service Technology team, you'll help ensure the quality and reliability of distributed Java-based web services that support critical business functions. You'll work in a fast-paced, agile environment, collaborating with cross-functional teams to design, implement, and maintain automated testing solutions that drive continuous delivery and operational excellence.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain automated test plans and frameworks for web applications and RESTful APIs.
- Collaborate with developers, product managers, and business analysts to define test strategies and acceptance criteria.
- Execute functional, regression, performance, and integration tests using tools like Selenium, Postman, JMeter, and Cucumber.
- Participate in agile ceremonies and contribute to sprint planning, retrospectives, and daily stand-ups.
- Ensure 24x7x365 availability and fault tolerance of test environments and automation pipelines.
- Support geographically distributed teams and contribute to a culture of quality and continuous improvement.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- 1-3 years of experience in software quality assurance for distributed systems.
- Hands-on experience with test automation tools and frameworks (e.g., Selenium, Swagger, Postman, JMeter, Cucumber, Rest-Assured).
- Familiarity with Java Spring ecosystem and cloud platforms like Pivotal Cloud Foundry.
- Strong understanding of TDD, BDD, and performance testing best practices.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- Experience with CI/CD tools such as Bitbucket, Maven, Bamboo.
- Exposure to technologies like MongoDB and Kafka.
- Working knowledge of Agile/Scrum methodologies.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.
