Position: Senior Project Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Project Manager to lead critical IT initiatives supporting federal government contracts. This full-time, hybrid position offers the opportunity to drive impactful IT solutions for the Department of Defense, overseeing software development and system implementation in a secure, compliance-driven environment. Responsibilities
  • Plan, coordinate, and direct computer-related activities, including resource allocation, risk management, and project scheduling.
  • Build and lead software development and maintenance teams, fostering collaboration and ensuring high performance.
  • Implement and integrate computer systems to meet customer and stakeholder requirements, including testing, deployment, and documentation.
  • Ensure compliance with federal IT standards (e.g., NIST, FISMA) and maintain security protocols throughout project lifecycles.
  • Conduct stakeholder briefings, deliver monthly progress reports, and analyze performance metrics to drive continuous improvement.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve technical issues and optimize IT processes.
  • Provide leadership in agile or waterfall methodologies, ensuring on-time delivery of project milestones.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree or higher in computer science, information systems, or a related field.
  • Minimum of five (5) years of experience in IT roles, including:
    • Planning and directing organizational computer-related activities.
    • Managing software development and maintenance teams.
    • Implementing systems to meet customer requirements.
  • Active Secret clearance (IT-II level) required and must be maintained throughout employment.
  • Cybersecurity Workforce Framework (CWF) certification may be required; highest anticipated level is IAM III (e.g., CISSP, CISM, or equivalent).
  • Strong project management skills with proficiency in agile/waterfall methodologies.
  • Excellent organizational, verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a secure, high-stakes environment.
