  • (Remote/Hybrid as applicable)

  • Client is seeking a Salesforce Developer Specialist to design, develop, test, and deploy customized Child Welfare solutions on the Salesforce platform.

  • The role involves close collaboration with business and technical stakeholders to deliver scalable, secure, and high-quality solutions aligned with Child Welfare program needs.

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, test, and deploy Salesforce-based Child Welfare solutions.

  • Develop and maintain Apex code, Visualforce pages, Lightning components, and integrations.

  • Customize and configure Salesforce objects, fields, workflows, validations, and automation.

  • Integrate Salesforce with internal and external systems to ensure seamless data flow.

  • Collaborate with business analysts, product owners, project managers, and end-users to gather and refine requirements.

  • Conduct JAD sessions, requirement reviews, and impact analysis.

  • Perform unit testing, debugging, and support QA activities.

  • Track development work using Jira Scrum and Kanban boards.

  • Troubleshoot production issues related to code, applications, and data.

  • Monitor and support production systems for performance, stability, and improvements.

  • Prepare project plans, effort estimates, and resource projections.

  • Create system designs using scalable and sustainable design patterns.

  • Maintain technical documentation, diagrams, code comments, and configuration details.

  • Assist with training materials and user manuals as required.

  • Participate in governance meetings, technical committees, and design walk-throughs.

  • Enforce coding standards, peer reviews, approved methodologies, and best practices.

  • Ensure compliance with security, privacy, and data governance policies.

  • Review security scan results and remediate vulnerabilities within required timelines.

  • Identify opportunities to optimize processes and improve overall Salesforce performance.

  • Mentor team members and ensure adherence to organizational standards.

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Strong expertise in the Salesforce ecosystem.

  • Hands-on experience with Apex, Visualforce, Lightning Web Components (LWC).

  • Experience with Salesforce configuration and customization.

  • Knowledge of Salesforce integrations (APIs, data exchange).

  • Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.

  • Proficiency with Jira for task and workflow management.

  • Strong understanding of system design, scalability, and best practices.

  • Experience with testing, debugging, and deployment in Salesforce.

  • Knowledge of security, privacy, and compliance standards.

  • Strong communication and collaboration skills.

  • Experience in government or Child Welfare systems (preferred).
