Description & Requirements

Bloomberg runs on data. In the Bloomberg Data department, we're responsible for on-boarding, analyzing, applying and supplying data to our clients for their financial data needs. Across Data's Company Financials' team, we move markets by providing our clients with sought-after reported-on and broker-estimated financials that are normalized across industries and companies, key analytical ratios, and industry-specific metrics. More than 320,000 business leaders rely on the real-time financial information available on the Bloomberg Professional Service. Our team of sector-aligned analysts curate and add context to financial and industry data to allow Bloomberg's clients to make investment decisions.

The Team:
The importance of human capital, diversity, climate change, and regulatory pressures are just a few critical factors global investors consider to best identify risks and opportunities. Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) data is crucial for our clients - providing deeper intelligence than conventional financial analysis.

As a team, we are responsible for improving and reporting Environmental, Social and Governance related content for the Bloomberg Terminal, plus reported on and normalized metrics, key analytical ratios, industry-specific metrics and proprietary scores. We display ESG and Fundamental data together, backed by news for context. Your passion and expertise for sustainable investing and project management will have a tremendous impact on our growing product offering.

The Role:
The Sustainable Finance Project Manager is responsible for overseeing the portfolio of our Foundational projects sourced from stakeholders across Product, Engineering, Enterprise, News, and fellow Data teams. You will support the effective delivery of products, workflows and quality improvements using ESG datasets, coordinating across Data and Engineering teams. You will help our team progress towards our overall strategies and goals and that client-value led project outcomes are scoped via relevant metrics, measured and communicated to relevant stakeholders. They are also responsible for quarterly ongoing quality reporting of our data dimensions for the Sustainable Finance Data team.

In this role, you'll develop, maintain, and oversee ESG Data projects, ensuring alignment with industry standards and global priorities. You'll partner with teams across regions to deliver results and work with leaders, Sourcing, and the COO to align resources to key initiatives based on skills and business needs.

We'll trust you to:
- Maintain and evolve a business plan for the Foundational Data teams, understanding our customers' needs and markets
- Develop tools and best practices for project management and execution
- Work with project sponsors and stakeholders to complete project outlining, scope, goals, deliverables and resources.
- Define project schedules to identify when each task will be performed, assign and monitor resources to ensure project efficiency
- Produce metrics that measure business impact and success
- Report on progress, escalate and resolve risks or blockers, and ensure projects stay on track with the established work plan
- Effectively manage project scope by ensuring any changes to scope are documented and approved.
- Effectively prioritize and adjust priorities as necessary, through continual communication and evaluation of stakeholder needs

You'll need to have:
- 3+ years experience managing and maintaining a portfolio of projects, from development to execution
- Experience working with agile development practices and ability to facilitate agile ceremonies to support continuous improvement
- Success in cross team collaboration and stakeholder management
- Highly organized with strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively
- Strong data analysis skills to effectively identify project risks and report against progress, with experience in data analytics/business intelligence applications (such as QlikSense or Tableau)
- Outstanding written and verbal communication skills

We'd love to see:
- Project Management Professional (PMP), SAFe certification
- Certified Scrum Master or Certified Scrum Professional (CSM or CSP)
