Job Summary The Software Governance Analyst supports the governance, risk, and compliance processes related to software acquisition, usage, and lifecycle management. This role is part of the IT Governance practice at Client , focused on improving customer satisfaction, operational efficiency, transparency, and risk reduction. The analyst ensures that all software-related activitiesincluding requests, approvals, deployments, and renewalsadhere to established policies and align with enterprise strategies. You will work closely with IT, Legal, Procurement, Security, Data Governance, and other business stakeholders to support governance adoption, improve processes, and maintain compliance. K ey Responsibilities Review and validate software requests; ensure completeness, accuracy, and inclusion of required documentation. Coordinate with requestors and technical points of contact to prioritize and process software requests. Monitor, track, and report on software request statuses, performance metrics, and KPIs using dashboards and reports. Support internal and external audit inquiries, providing documentation and evidence of compliance. Analyze software usage and identify violations of governance policies. Assist in drafting and reviewing governance documents, policies, and procedures. Provide insights for process improvements and automation opportunities within IT governance workflows. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance governance agility, operational efficiency, and role alignment. Conduct trend analysis and assessments to identify bottlenecks and propose actionable solutions. Leverage best practices in project and task tracking, reporting, and stakeholder communication. Required Qualifications Bachelors degree from an accredited college or university (additional years of relevant experience may substitute). Minimum of 3+ years of experience in any of the following areas: IT Governance and Compliance Systems or Software Engineering Information Systems or Technology Analysis IT Audit Support or Compliance Strong attention to detail, verbal/written communication, and active listening skills. Experience preparing technical briefings and reports for both technical and business audiences. Familiarity with general IT audit and compliance response processes. Proven ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple priorities. Strong organizational, planning, and time management skills. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook). Preferred Qualifications Experience working with governance tools, software asset management systems, or automation platforms. Familiarity with Agile or adaptive governance frameworks. Prior experience collaborating with legal, privacy, and procurement teams on software risk assessments. C ertifications (if any) ITIL, CISA, or other relevant certifications (preferred but not required). Education: Bachelors Degree Certification: Certified Information Systems Auditor
